As Mystee ran to the closest demon location she stopped seeing something. She looked down on the streets below and could make out small, fuzzy, black creatures. Their bodies were round, with little stubs for feet and hands. Curious to what they were she leaped down to get a closer look. Plus, how dangerous could they be.

Each one was about a foot and a half high, and there were 20 of them. A few turned around to look at Mystee with small, yellow, beady eyes. Eventually the rest followed suit staring at her. A whole 2 minutes of silence passed and one started to retch.

"Aww poor thing. Are you okay?" Mystee asks picking up the creature that was hacking. She faced it away from her, giving it a light squeeze. The hacking stopped and the black creature coughed up a femur bone. Mystee looked over to the bone, her left eye starting to twitch. "Goodness bloody gracious. What the hell did you eat?"

Soon all the others of the 20 fuzz creatures started hacking and coughing up bones too. After they coughed up the bones they turned to Mystee drooling with their tongues out. The one in her arms was also drooling.

"Euuggghh." Mystee comments in disgust still holding one in her arms. She felt it start to thrash about and tried to squeeze it to death. However, it only split, one falling to the ground and the other jumping from her arms. Now there was 21 of them.

"You gotta be f'in kidding me..." Mystee also assumed trying to cut any in half would give the same results. She found herself pondering what to do next, until 5 of the black creatures stacked on top of each over. She got in a defensive stance as they charged towards her, finally showing their own claws. She hit away two, dodged two, and the last one latched itself on her left leg causing her to gasp. The nails dug into her leg making it difficult for her to pull it off.

"Aahhh. Get. Off!" She shouts trying to pull the black fuzzball off, even if it meant tearing some of her own skin off. Damn it. I cannot be seen being taken down by these lil' beasts. She thought in panic as the others started to advance towards her. Without another thought, she finally pulled the one on her leg off, biting her tongue from the pain.

Vampires in New York? It was all over the news. New bodies would show up every week, the dead victims drained of blood. They were mostly nobodies. Crack heads, punks, homeless people that no one would miss, yet it still scared people. Anyone could end up a victim. It had the authorities stumped. With no murder weapon or DNA present, they couldn't trace the killings back to a suspect. It sounded like something right out of a horror movie Mikey would make them watch.
The undead are among us, bring out the stakes and garlic!
Yeah, no. But as freaky and weird as the situation was, Leo had to admit that it was something to look into.

They weren't supposed to get involved, however. Supernatural killings were way out of the turtles control, but that wasn't something that was going to stop Raphael from sneaking out and trying. The second oldest was gone for hours now, and when neither him or Casey would pick up their phones, Leo knew it was time to intervene.
He scaled the cities buildings with a layout of all the murder sites Donnie had downloaded onto his cell phone. He'd probably scold Leo later for stealing, but that wasn't on the list of Leo's concerns. Studying the file, Leo came to a halt just outside of the Manhattan area. This section of the city felt  more older with it's dated buildings of painted glass windows and Gothic stone gargoyles. It was here a nameless prostitute was found slaughtered just months before. Her neck twisted sideways and chest ripped open, missing several organs and an eye.

Leonardo grimaced. What kind of person, he thought, would kill so mercilessly? Unless it wasn't a person he was dealing with.
Two things happened after that. Leo's phone buzzed in his palm, switching from Donnie's file to a distress signal. Surely it was from Raph. A feminine scream followed soon after, causing the turtles gaze to shift below. it was twenty or so little creatures attacking a girl. With a frustrated huff, Leo drew a sword and leaped down to the nearest fire escape, hissing through the speakers in his phone. "Call me back Raph, and you better not have dragged Casey with you."
    Click!
He swung his blade, making contact with the dark creature gnawing on the young women's leg. It split instantly like puff of smoke and disappeared.

"Sorry, Mam." Leo muttered and turned on his feet so she couldn't catch a glimpse of his face. Two of the same creatures pounced his way and Leo swung again. Wait...didn't he just slay that one?

    ((I'm game, too. Smile ))

Michelangelo was having a date with monsters of his own -- in horror film classics! He was all set for the movie marathon that would be going throughout the night. His brothers warned him about watching all those horror flicks before bed, but he didn't listen. And why would he? If he stayed up all night, there would be no training for him in the morning. He could just sleep through the whole thing! The idea sounded good to him.

Geared with popcorn, soda, and other munchies for his big night, he plopped down on the couch and turned on the TV. Not too far into the marathon and his phone started buzzing. Only Mikey didn't know it...at first. The TV was turned up loud and the sound of crunching were the only sounds he could hear. Until an erie silence filled the room as his movie went quiet briefly. Then he heard his phone and he nearly jumped out of his shell with a small yelp - spilling popcorn everywhere as he jumped from the noise.

Once he finally calmed down, he muted the movie and grabbed his phone. Uh-oh, this wasn't good. "Guys?" he called out into the lair, not knowing where everyone was. "Raph's in trouble." Still not getting an answer from the lair and Mike wanted to know more about the situation before getting completely dragged away from his movie, he texted Raph in the hopes of finding out what was going on.

    [Dude, what's up?]

Mystee was relieved to have some help fighting the creatures now that this new character showed up. She missed his face, so wasn't sure who or probably what he was. She watched the black creatures running and jumping about, trying to get another fill. She had fallen back and was sitting on the ground. She watched the new one fight off against the creatures and noticed their numbers had increased again. Oh that's right he cut on in half... I gotta tell him.

"Thanks, and if you haven't noticed... Cutting and even squeezing them makes them split into more." She quickly explains, licking her hand as she stood up. After standing she placed her hand to her leg, where one of the creatures latched onto her. Her saliva then started to heal the small wounds. She punted another one of the creatures, sending it half a mile away, when it came dashing towards her, only to have it return shortly. She groaned in annoyance and threw her hand back, causing the one that tried to jump her from behind to get knocked down. Unfortunately it also got back up.

"Damn-impossible-to-kill-puffballs!" She shouted in annoyance kicking and punching at them rapidly. Her efforts were only in vain, because she still wasn't able to kill a single one of them. She looked over to the new guy who showed up, still unable to make out what he was. She did a quick sniff of the air and couldn't smell much of a human scent from him. In fact, it reminded her of the scent she smelled before, when the Red masked turtle came to her aid.

Could it really be?... No, this one's not the exact same scent, but... She shook her head from her thoughts looking back to the black creatures that were attacking still. She felt an urge to count them again and was expecting to count 22 or so, yet she ended up counting only 20. She whipped around half expecting the to just be jumped by the ones she couldn't see, but they never came. She slowly turned back to the battle, unaware of what happened to two of the little black beasts.

As Mystee was in her thoughts, about the stranger that came to help her, 1 of the black creatures bounced up under a lamp post, hitting the light. After making impact, the heat from the lamp caused the creature to burst up into flames. Then another one of the creatures was thrown at the flaming one and also caught on fire. The creatures rolled about on the ground, but it was too late as they turned to dust.

Raph skidded to a halt when his phone buzzed. Upon answering the call, he barely even got to register Leo's words before the conversation abruptly ended. He huffed to himself. So the leader finally found the time to get up and actually do something about this mayhem. And Casey? That guy didn't need to be dragged into trouble; he naturally does it himself. And Raph knew his best friend enough to be assured that he would pull through the worst scenarios. Oh, he'd better.

Dashing past a couple more buildings, he caught sight of two familiar figures -- that vampire, and the blue-clad leader himself. At the same time, he received a text. Mikey. Evidently, the hothead was beginning to lose his patience. He's been trying to contact them for a while now and all he got was a lousy 'what's up'? Had Casey not reached the lair yet? Trying his best not to smash the buttons on his phone, he texted back.

[GET YOUR SORRY SHELL OUT HERE NOW]

With that done, Raph tucked his phone away before rushing into the scene. His first thought was to fire shuriken at the little beasts, but he witnessed one splitting into two the moment Leo sliced it. "Well that helped.." he quipped, arriving at the older turtle's side. Watching the two creatures burn into ashes was mildly satisfying, and inspiring.
"Guess puny freak barbecue's on the menu tonight." It's too bad he didn't have a flame-thrower handy.

One second he was kicking away an approaching blob of black, the next second he felt one clinging to his arm, tiny claws piercing his skin. Glaring down at it, Raph ripped the thing off him with no qualms before roughly tossing it towards a lamp post in hopes to set it ablaze. He's dealt with much worse pain. Just need to get rid of these irritating bunch already.

Everyone seemed to be doing something else. That was usually how it worked out; as soon as one of them needed assistance, the others had been engaged to their own priorities. But Casey was a 'free agent'. He was adaptable. Raph had asked him to grab some help and he raced to the nearest sewer cover and climbed down into the deep, dark pit.

Casey had ran this route multiple times and knew the layout like the back of his hand. He was still confused about some of the hidden paths he could take to make his trek shorter. Regardless, Casey reached the lair and entered. "Guys?", he called out. "Anybody here? Aww man..." and he realized that he was totally, completely, alo- wait, sounds emanating from the living room! Someone was there? Casey peered in and noticed the TV was shining as bright as ever with old monster movies in formatted, full screen goodness.

There was only one turtle capable of being this glued in to what was happening in the world of fiction rather than a trusted ally in need of help. Casey raised his eyebrow and his expression contorted into one of irritation. Stealthily, Casey snuck up on Michelangelo who was currently glued to the couch and in a quick motion Casey Jones leaped over the back and plopped down right beside him, just to give the turtle a jolt; or try to anyway. "Hey, domehead! Didn't ya hear me callin' ya back there?! Ooo, monster movies!", the vigilante gleefully remarked.

"Raph an' this chick ran into some trouble. He said he was gonna try an' get a hold of you guys but sent me out just in case. Somethin' about demons and vampires in th' city... Maybe we should help 'em," Casey explained in monotone succession. His focus was glued on the same TV. It was hard not to enjoy the classics, you could never beat a classic.

"You weren't supposed to be out tonight." Leo hissed in an annoyed whisper, directing the frustration towards his brother. "Splinter wanted us to remain in the lair, and now there's a civilian with us!"
The leader twisted his body to dodge an oncoming attack from one of the dark creatures. The fuzz ball bounced off the ground and charged towards Leo again with outstretched claws. Leo was ready with his weapon in hand, striking it with the side of his blade. The creature flew through the air once more. It's body smacked against a dimly lit sign advertising laundry service, sizzled, then flopped to the street.

With another pest down for the count, the blue clad turtle leaped to Raphael's side, shifting to fight with him back to back, fending the creatures off.
"What were you thinking?!" Leo swore he was the only responsible one, for no one else seemed to take Splinters orders seriously as he did.

Mystee turned to see the red masked turtle show up and smiled to herself. She finally noticed one of the black creatures being set ablaze, before burning to ashes. Huh. They have the same weakness as I do. She notes to herself in her thoughts. There was no need to tell the two strangers what their weakness was, since they seemed to have figured it out. Even if she met one of them not too long ago.

Mystee looked behind her to see one leaping towards her. Without a moments hesitation, she grabbed the creature by it's small belly and chucked it at a bug zapper several yards from them. Just like the heat from the lamp, and light up signs, the same thing happened to that one as well. The bug zapper fell to the ground with a crash and Mystee punted another one of the fuzzy creatures at it.

"So hey!" Mystee shouts to Raphael before ducking down from an oncoming black beast. "Seems you've come to help after all! Could the other dude not keep up? Is that why he's not here?" She asks of the sports gear man, while taking another quick count of the black fuzzy monsters. Almost 10... Man I can't believe how easy this has become. She thinks to herself, pouting in disappointment.

It didn't take long for Michelangelo to get a reply from Raph.  He looked at it and then rolled his eyes.  There was no need to be so rude.  Then he heard Casey come in and land beside him on the couch.  Unfortunately for Casey, it didn't scare him.  He already got that earlier from his own phone.  Right now he wanted answers.

"Guess Raph's really in trouble, huh?"  He almost sounded disappointed.  He had this whole night planned out for just vegging in front of the television.  He guessed plans changed.  And he still had no idea where the rest of his family was.  With a shake of his head, he decided to ask the masked vigilante if he had heard from the others.

Then he heard what Casey said and his blue eyes widened in shock.  "Vampires??  They're real?!"  Maybe it wouldn't be so bad after all.  He always wanted to meet a vampire.  He thought they were cool.  He wondered if they were like how the movies portrayed them.  Getting a bit anxious, Mike finally jumped up from the couch, tucking his phone away.

"Well what are we waiting for?  Let's go!"

    There he goes again.
"Spare me the lecture," Raph spat. He channelled his growing frustrations towards the tiny monsters by punching one towards a shop's tacky neon sign, watching it fry.
"Monsters are rampagin' the city, humans gettin' eaten alive... Casey and I have been dealin' with the problem. What've you been doin', Leo??" The brawny one responded in a bitter tone as the brothers were back-to-back. What was he supposed to do-- just sit in the lair like an idiot while these demons eat their fill? Not a chance.

Then he heard Mystee's remarks. Of course, there's this other problem.
"And she's no civilian!" Raphael raised his wounded arm to point an accusing finger at her. Far from innocent in his view. She's about as bad as tonight's array of deadly freaks. Who was he to discriminate, right? Well.. he just needed to be convinced that the vampire wouldn't feast on them, like she probably had to several New Yorkers already, whether or not her intentions were truly friendly.

"Think I'd let ya hog all the excitement?" He scoffed in response, taking note of the greatly decreasing number of foes. "He's got other stuff to take care of, not like it's any of your business." Cold he may be, but he wasn't going to buddy up so easily. He's still got a bone to pick with her, before she ran off earlier.

Mystee stopped looking over towards the two that were talking. She heard two names: Leo, who she assumed was the other stranger that Raphael was speaking to, and Casey, who most likely was the masked man with the turtle earlier.

"Huh. So those are their names..." She figures then notices the red masked turtle pointing a finger at her. She looked directly at him with an almost deadpanned expression. Her annoyed look changed to a smirk when he answered her questions. However once he explained about Casey she frowned again commenting, "Well excuse me for being curious."

Not too long after the little black creatures had been taken care of. However, it still didn't solve the current problem going on in Manhattan.

Leo’s somber blue eyes were planted in Raph’s direction while the leader spoke, his tone bitterly low. “Where I’ve been isn’t of any concern to you, Raphael,” –yes, he was using the full name, a sign that Leo was pissed. “And it would be wise of you to stand down before we’re dragged further into this mess.”

He knew it was unlikely that his brother would actually listen, so before any further comment was given, the blue masked turtle was on top of the girl; bombarding her with questions. His steely gaze never wavered, nor was Leo intimated now that they were out in the open. There was no need to hide in the shadows or draw things out; he wanted answers.
“Who are you, and why were those creatures attacking?”
