((Well. Here goes my attempt at an RP here. This is open to anyone pretty much.))

    Location ~ Manhattan
    Time ~ 9:37 PM

From the moment the sky changed to black Mystee was out wandering the streets. It was her preferred time to be outside, and it wasn't like she could go out comfortably during the day. Plus there was less people out at night. She was aware of people hanging out late at the bars and clubs, along with a few select others that were surely out and about. Still, she thought it was better than the amount of people she would hear out on the streets during day time. She continued her nightly stroll after she had stopped a New Yorker for a little 'drink'. He would wake up eventually with two barely noticeable scars on his arm. Along with barely any recognition to what happened to him, due to being hypnotized before he was bitten. Her outfit was just a pair of white and black checkered jeans, black sneakers, and a black t shirt with a red rose design on the front.

A man's scream rang through the city, causing Mystee to tense up a bit. She became even more concerned when the screaming stopped. Then like usual for her, curiosity got the best of her. She had to find out what would make a grown man scream like that, and why the screaming stopped so suddenly. She flitted to the source of the noise, the scent of blood strong. She at first wondered if it was just a brutal battle between two people that turned ugly. However, she realized how wrong she was once she heard what sounded like loud munching and a sickening snapping noise every so often. She figured that whatever was making those noises definitely was not human. After a small bite on the left side of her tongue she quickly stepped out in view of the creature.

"Ooh this is going to be problematic." Mystee noted staring up with wide eyes at the being that stood at at most 10 feet before her. The back legs were hoof like and the front where large bird talons. The body was similar to a crocodile's, only 3 times it's size. Finally there was the head which resembled a Great White's, but was a pale pink color. The eyes were nonexistent and the teeth were sharp, stained crimson, and at least a half foot long each. On the back were a pair of large, dark brown, 6 foot sized wings. The young vampire wasn't normally one to be paralyzed in fear, but there she was was. Motionless before something that literally ate a whole man in under 3 minutes. If her heart could still beat she was sure she would be able to hear it now.

    ((Great starter! Very interesting.))

Another night, another round of patrol. And it was as boring as it sounded.
Nothing unusual or the least bit interesting was happening; not yet, anyway. This displeases Raphael. All he's asking for was a satisfying brawl. Some Foot activity, the Kraang, an old lady getting mugged... anything to soothe his crave for action!
But it seemed the night was peaceful.

With a low huff, Raph stepped back from the rooftop shed he was leaning against, about ready to call it a night-- ..until the horrific scream reached his ears.
Perhaps he spoke too soon. He really shouldn't be grinning if someone was in danger, but this was what he'd been waiting for all night.
The red-clad terrapin wasted no time in leaping over to the next building, heading straight towards the source of the scream.

As he drew close, the distinct foul stench of blood made him grimace. And he almost regretted peering down at the gruesome sight from the roof ledge.
    He was... too late.
But what was that thing? Here he thought he had faced the ugliest of monsters..
That wasn't all, a lone girl caught his attention. What the heck was she doing, just standing there??
Normally he would avoid being seen by the locals, but this was an emergency.

Onto the ground he swiftly leapt, landing right before her while drawing his weapons.
"Get outta here!" He warned her. Taking on this beast was going to be a pain; he couldn't afford to worry about the life of another innocent.
Discreetly he sent a distress signal to his brothers via his phone. From the looks of it, he's going to need some help...

((Thanks! Also demons, of course, are NPCs. lol))

Mystee snapped out of her temporary paralysis once she heard something land in front of her. Shaking her head she looked to see that it was a turtle, but he was standing on two legs like a human. And did he just speak? She wanted to ask who and what he was, but remembering the creature before them, she decided to avoid those questions. Instead of leaving like he said she just took a step next to him looking back up at the demon. This time her expression showed more courage, compared to the fear she showed before.

"I may have been stunned before, but I'm not leaving quite yet." She says to the red masked terrapin beside her without looking in his direction. "That- Whatever it is devoured a human whole. I don't think-"

She was cut off as the demonic creature threw it's head back making an almost ear piercing howl. The young vampire winced covering her ears due to the sound. Without warning the demon brought it's head down with it's mouth wide open. While it couldn't see them, it sensed the two who would soon be it's next meal.

Mystee swiftly pushed the humanoid turtle out of the 'chomping zone' while also jumping back. The demon's head hit the ground creating a small crater, while also causing the earth to shake. As the demon lifted it's head the snout of the shark nose was bruised up and bleeding.

Huh. Must've broken it while trying to eat us. Which means the only way to know where we are is by sound. Mystee thinks to herself with her hand on her chin eyeing the demon.

((You're welcome! Since it's your story, I'll mostly follow your lead for now ^^ ))

To be frozen in fear was quite a common reaction. He hoped she would be able to snap out of it enough to run away. However, he glanced in her direction in mild surprise as she stood by his side. Huh-- maybe he underestimated this one. Any regular human would have ran for their dear life by now. This girl's got guts, he'll give her that.
Still, he couldn't risk her getting hurt, or worse..

Raph too, involuntarily winced from the beastly shriek of the creature. He had failed to protect the life of a civilian this night... Mutant, Alien, Demon, or whatever the heck it was, it must be taken down.

His grip on the Sais tightened , but the next thing he knew, he was shoved back, thankfully quick to regain his bearings and land on his feet.
Not really being one to analyze, the mutant hadn't realized the new advantage they had gained, fully focused on simply cutting the monster down to size.
"Just go already! I can handle this!" Raph told the other. Hard-headed he may be, but he meant well.

Without wasting a beat, he leaped around the demon and attacked from the rear in attempt to land a good, swift hit to the skull with his weapons. Avoid those shark teeth... at all costs...

Legion in New York (Open to Anyone) Empty Re: Legion in New York (Open to Anyone)

Post by Casey Jones Sun Jan 24, 2016 12:17 am

Back at his apartment, Casey had just finished lifting around one-hundred and ninety pounds via his barbells. He had been going at this routine for a little over an hour now. He could already feel his biceps tense with power as he flexed them, just to see. The sound of aerobics echoed through his dingy little apartment while scantily-clad women in their spandex outfits began exercising in unison. Casey grinned. Not everything in this life was free but at least he could be entertained.

    Then, a broadcast;

'Vampires in New York?! We bring you the top story that has been brought to our attention. Various citizens of New York have found themselves with strange, unfamiliar marks across their arms. But could this be the work of...'

And just like that, it ended. He shut that noise off. Casey realized he hadn't spent much time with the guys lately. He also needed to give April a ring-a-ding-ding when he had the chance. It was too late now, she was probably asleep. In order to satiate his craving for adventure the vigilante slipped out through the window and climbed along the fire escape, lugging around his gym bag full of assorted goodies. He pulled the familiar hockey mask over his face and used his aerial agility to leap from rooftop-to-rooftop with success.

"Ha, hope there's some punkers ready for a head-knockin'! 'Cause Casey Jones ain't sleepy," the vigilante quipped quietly to himself. He performed a few more giant leaps, nearly losing his footing during one, but eventually crossed over to the Manhattan district. There was always a good piece of action waiting around here.

Obsessively, Casey Jones watched from his high perch in any attempt to locate some sort of crime. A mugging, a police chase, two bums fighting over the last box of KFC... Anything! Then, it pierced through his ears like a banshee. Someone had let out a blood-curdling scream that grabbed the hero's attention. Casey jutted right up from his perch and tried his best to follow the screaming; until suddenly it was silent. Dead silent. That couldn't be good news.

"Alright, Jones! Never got scared a' nothin' in yer life! No need to now... Right?... Right," he muttered to himself. Building up courage. He crouched on an adjacent rooftop and peered down into the alley. His eyes widened in fear at the sight of this winged behemoth. Slowly, he removed one of his notorious hockey sticks, Eastman brand, as there was no better brand. He gripped it tightly in both hands as he debated on what to do.

His good pal and some chick were standing right in the path of this beast. But what was it? Just then a flying, gargoyle-like creature stealthily approached the vigilante and attempted to grab him. But Casey could hear the flapping of wings and quickly turned his head, ducked the monster's talons and swung out with the hockey stick which beamed it right in the thigh. The gargoyle screeched in anger as Casey glanced down at Raph and their mysterious ally.

Giving a shrug, Casey huffed. "Heh, demons, right? Look out guys!", he forewarned but was too late as the beast in the streets below began its attack. Raph was wisely instructing the girl to take cover and let him handle it. Casey dropped down from the ledge and both feet landed softly on a platform with an escape ladder attached. He began his descent and dropped down in a crouch before sprinting outward to join Raph. "Man, this one's real ugly! Where'd ya dig this looker up?" he jokingly asked.

Okay, so he had to admit... taking on a giant nightmarish beast while keeping an eye on a civilian was not what he'd describe as fun. It certainly wasn't a one-man job -- or one-turtle job anyway.
In the midst of the whole terror, he glanced down at his phone strapped in his belt. No word from his brothers yet. Where were those guys??

He dodged to the side as the demon shifted, reaching up to something while Raphael warily watched. Has it found a new target? If it was another citizen being victimized, he feared there would be another casualty that night.

Then he heard the oh so familiar voice.

Grunting in mild frustration when his hit was less than effective, his eyes darted in alert as those massive talons were swiped at him, in which he instinctively reacted by flipping backwards. The moment he landed and rose to his feet, he took a quick and cautious glance towards the dark-haired female, before finding Casey by his side. "'Bout time." The turtle in red grinned. "And here I thought I got the pleasure of knockin' this beauty out on my own," he quipped.
Not the best time for fun and humour, however...

Raph's eyes narrowed as the creature crouched, blood dripping from its beak. Still it's far from done with its dinner.
    "C'mon."
With a twirl of his Sai, he motioned to his best friend.
"Let's send this nightmare back to hell..."

She was aware that this masked turtle guy wanted to protect her, but Mystee was too stubborn to leave. She almost scoffed when he said he could handle the situation. She then watched him maneuver around to the back of the demon attacking from him. The hit landed, but ended up infuriating the beast more than it originally was. She wanted to make a sarcastic comment, until she heard the sound of wings flapping from above. The sound was then followed by one of a thud.

Mystee heard the warning from someone else, turning to see the masked vigilante. She tilted her head wondering who he was. She then turned her attention back to the demon which threw it's head back, again. She didn't understand why the demon did that. Especially since it was exposing it's own neck.

"Ah. I might as well try it." Mystee says quickly moving straight at the demon. When she got within a couple feet from it she shifted to the left. As she did so she also leaped up, while raising her right hand. With her fingers partially curled and spread, plus a slight angling of her hand, she slashed at it's neck with her razor sharp nails.

The demon's darkened blood sprayed from it's neck as it roared in pain. Unfortunately the thing still managed to stand it's ground, but clearly was struggling to do so. The monster almost collapsed a few times as it listened for it's prey.

He's clearly determined, but his time is almost up. Mystee thinks to herself stepping back and glancing over to the mutant turtle and the masked guy who joined them. She figured they were good friends, by how they socialized with each other. She was also curious to see what they could do together.

Legion in New York (Open to Anyone) Empty Re: Legion in New York (Open to Anyone)

Post by Casey Jones Sat Jan 30, 2016 6:35 pm

The creature was obviously bigger than all three of them combined. It could sink ships with its massive snout and razor-sharp teeth. Rows of teeth. It was disgusting, some sort of hybrid animal. But he could've sworn he had overheard their impromptu ally back there mention 'demons'. Maybe it was all in his head. But one thing was for sure, this sucker was all too real!

Raph quipped right back at him, and not a moment too soon. Casey smiled. "No word from th' others. Guess Don's busy with his machines. Mikey, who knows what that loon is up to. Yer just lucky I found ya in time ta save yer hide, pal!", yet again ribbing with his best bud. Both had egos but knew when to keep them in check. Focused, Casey Jones straightened his posture and watched in confusion as the mysterious girl walked right up to the roaring behemoth.

Not only did she walk up to it, standing her ground, but she also attacked it. What the...?, Casey thought to himself. He turned his head slightly to glance at Raph and shrugged. This was both unexpected and confusing. However, instead of aiding them it seemed this girl only angered the demon further. That would make their job harder for certain. Casey narrowed his eyes and realized the girl had stepped back to evade the beast. When Raph twirled his sai he knew then and there that the time was now.

It was time to kick some ass!

"Oh yeah! Ya want a leg or a wing?", the vigilante jokingly quipped before joining his 'brother' in battle. Both of the crime-fighters were more than familiar with tag-teaming against some of the most brutal, nasty and reckless oafs. This one was certainly no slouch. It had plenty of weaponry that Casey had to use great skill and reflexes to avoid. Thankfully the girl's attack seemed to disorient the beast due to increasing blood loss. The vigilante sprinted right toward it, leaping over a swipe of its talon-like hands and rolling right under the demon. He cracked the business end of the hockey stick against its thigh and howled in excitement as he rolled away.

Casey had a plan. He looked ahead of himself at Raph and gave a brief nod which signified something was going to happen. Something was on his mind. He catapulted himself over to the demon and stretched out his leg and kicked the beast with great force right across the jaw, causing its head to swing violently toward his shell-backed partner-in-crime. Thatw as Raph's cue if there ever were one.

"And Leo probably polishin' apples.." As usual, being the perfect student he was. It was rather odd that none of his brothers were responding, but no matter. He and Casey's got it covered... all while showing this wise guy who's the trained ninja here. "Yeah right. You just watch your hide before I kick it, Jones," Raphael jested with a smug smirk.

Just then, he stared in disbelief at the girl fast approaching the demon. Wha-- She's still here?? What the heck did she think she's doing? "Hey! You got a death wish or what?! Get outta the way before--"
One quick slash.. in a blink of an eye, blood was gushing out from their large target. Briefly his eyes met Casey's. That was definitely not normal. Who was this girl? Maybe it wasn't that hybrid monster he was supposed to worry about...
Well, she seemed to be on their side for now. He'll deal with her later.

"Heh, keep the leg and wing. I'll settle for the head..." With that, Raph leaped into action. While Casey was keeping it occupied from below, he struck from above. The turtle came rocketing down, striking his heel at the top of the shark-like head, then landing back on the ground just in time to see Casey's nod. Grinning and nodding back in response, he watched, waiting for the right moment.
The head came right at him and he seized the moment to jab at it with his sai, drawing more blood as he traced a line across its face with the momentum.

Raph stepped back. With such blood loss, the beast was as good as finished.

And just as expected the beast finally took it's toll. Falling to the ground with a thud, it was surely dead. It's darkened blood stained the streets in the alleyway. Thankfully the smell wasn't as potent as most blood would be. Especially being splattered around like it was. Then there was the dead demon that may be a problem to move.

Impressed by the two's teamwork, Mystee whistled nodding her head after seeing the creature finally fall to it's death. She looked around at the mess the fight caused. Then her eyes went to her now blood stained outfit. She frowned in disappointment, tugging at the front of her top seeing the blood that splattered on it.

"Well that's bloody terrific." She comments before letting it go and sighing. She looked over to the red masked turtle and his sports gear wielding friend. With a quiet thanks, Mystee started to approach the demon again. As she was about to touch it the entire body of the demon just vanished into thin air.

The sudden disappearance caused her to stumble backwards falling on her bottom. She tightly shut her eyes rubbing them, before opening them again to be sure the thing really was gone. Nothing, besides the blood it left behind. One by one, and coming from different parts of the city, different kinds of demonic screeches and human screams filled the air. The young vampire jumped up to her feet looking around with panic in her eyes.

"Goodness gracious. This cannot be good." With so many around, she wasn't sure where to go first. Let alone if she would even make it in time to prevent another human from getting eaten.

Legion in New York (Open to Anyone) Empty Re: Legion in New York (Open to Anyone)

Post by Casey Jones Fri Feb 05, 2016 12:15 pm

Casey watched in anticipation as the creature was finally overwhelmed by its injuries and fell to the ground like a sack of potatoes. He threw his fist out in victory and shouted, "Yeah! Sooner or later, they all fall down!" It was his way of acknowledging that no one would be left standing once these two got a hold of them. After all, they were just that good; at least Casey thought he was. It didn't take the two long to shoot a glance at one another, Casey flashing a smirk.

The girl was still with them. However, as the vigilante glanced over his shoulder at her he noticed that something wasn't quite right. This girl could tear flesh with her fingertips. She possessed extra-strong claws to rip through flesh, of course. But once ordinary humans looked on it was obvious that she seemed nervous. But why? He supposed it was because of what she could do but had they seen that? Did they witness that? If so, Casey hadn't noticed them.

He looked at Raph again with lifted eyebrows. He wasn't sure of what to do. She clearly didn't need their help, she was capable of handling herself. But it seemed like humanity had some sort of grip on her that just caused her to freeze up in place. Maybe it was because, like them, she didn't know what to make of all of them as they stared on. The creature had dissipated before their very eyes. Maybe that had something to do with it, too.

"Well, this has been a... Very interestin' night. Should sleep well tonight," the vigilante remarked as he stretched his arms out and gave a high growl as every muscle flexed. He slid the hockey stick back into his gym bag and placed his gloved hands across his hips. "Hey," Casey called out. "What's th' deal? You were here before any of us, right? What th' heck was that thing we just risked our lives ta help you fight?" he questioned as he confronted the girl.

"What did'ja expect?" The corners of Raphael's lips curved upwards to a satisfied grin upon witnessing the creature's final moments. Bring on all the sad scums of the streets and ugly demonic beasts... none would stand a chance against the power duo. Of course, obviously he represents most of the power on this team.

Raph returned his partner's smirk with one of his own, before shifting his attention to the girl the moment she thanked them. The turtle only narrowed his eyes in suspicion. Oh she's got some major explaining to do. What she just did cannot be dismissed as an everyday sight. Plus she seemed particularly level-headed taking on that hybrid mess; as though it wasn't new to her. Who's to say she wasn't the cause of its appearance?

Just as he was about to confront her, he paused as he swore he saw that massive dead body vanish  right before him. As if that wasn't enough to put them all on edge, he heard various screams coming from different directions.
What the shell was going on?!

It seemed Casey had the same idea, and he joined his best pal, cornering the female into a quick interrogation. "And how do ya explain that slick move of yours back there? Don't expect us to believe ya had no idea how that happened." Too much was happening. He wanted answers and he wanted them now.

Mystee still stood in thought herself before she heard the one with the sports gear speak to her. She raised a brow looking to him when he asked what they helped her fight. She quietly scoffed as she shook her head before answering.

"Well I can't say for certain, but a demon? Yeah... I think it was a demon." There was a hint of mockery in her voice before she was cornered by the red masked turtle. He wanted to know about what she did earlier. Probably when I cut into the demon.

"You wouldn- Actually. I think you will believe me after what you witnessed." She starts before sighing and with a smile she continued "Yeah I know how that happened. It's called, I'm a vampire." After saying that she disappeared into a mist before reappearing on the top of a building looking down on them with a smirk. Her smirk disappeared as she looked off into the distance.

"I hear more of them..." she says quietly before looking back to the two strangers that helped her. With a quick wave she went off to find the next demon. As she ran she half expected the two to show up where she was headed. If not she'll just have to try handle it herself. "If I can."

Legion in New York (Open to Anyone) Empty Re: Legion in New York (Open to Anyone)

Post by Casey Jones Tue Feb 16, 2016 1:32 pm

Casey narrowed his eyes. "Yeah, of course it was a demon! But where'd it come from, genius?"

It was his curiosity that was getting the better of him. However, she seemed far more infatuated with Raphael. His poor, poor turtle brother. Casey folded his arms over his chest and simply listened as their mysterious impromptu ally began explaining things to Raphael. Honestly, nothing was explained. She revealed herself to be a vampire and floated over to a rooftop in a mist form. This caused the vigilante to lean in at Raph's ear.

"... Did she just say she's a fricken vampire? I was standin' closest to her! I coulda been bitten, man!", Casey debated mostly among himself. He clenched his hands into fists and threw out his pointer finger, aiming it at her. "You coulda bit me!!!", he exclaimed angrily. But he regained his composure and made an honest attempt to calm himself down. To think, he could have fangs right now and be chasing the guys through the lair.

    All crazed-like.

What a grim outlook on the future and what could have been. Shrugging, Casey glanced over at Raph. "Whaddya think? Should we go after her? Or... Should we let this one go?", he asked with the implication that they would undoubtedly see her again. Then, she called down to them. Casey was the first to slowly turn his gaze upward to her. "Oh? Good for ya! Yer th' one with all the powers!", and with that she disappeared off into the night, presumably to battle more of them.

"She's crazy, man. I know that's a li'l underwhelming considerin' she's a fricken vampire, but... Look, you do what you have to, bro. I can do one of two things: I can go with ya, 'cause I have this bad feelin' you ain't gonna let her go at it alone. The other thing I can do is I can go back to th' lair an' tell th' guys what we saw here tonight. Knowin' Donnie, I'll get laughed out of there for sure. But we could use th' help," Casey shrugged. Then, he dropped the secret third idea!

"Or you can tuck yer pride under yer shell an' we can both get outta here before we become barbecue. We got options here," the vigilante explained. His personal favorite was obvious. But she was a vampire. Stronger, faster and more powerful than maybe both of them combined. As efficient and as well-trained? Perhaps not. More powerful? Definitely.

As much as he'd love to know how and why all this havoc was happening in this beloved city of theirs, they were wasting precious time. There were more sinister creatures about, and undoubtedly more blood would be shed. Another New Yorker could be being chomped into pieces as they speak.

Raph broke from his mini reverie and anxiety as he heard her response. A vampire. "Really... you're gonna stick with that?" Then again, he shouldn't scoff, after dealing with the abnormality that threaten to haunt humankind. What more, those razor-sharp nails of hers along with the fact that she just dissipated into a cloud of mist and seemingly teleported to the roof was enough proof perhaps.

"You ain't gettin' bitten, ya dope!" He addressed Casey, feeling the urge to smack some sense into his hockey-stick wielding friend. While he could be thankful that their mysterious ally hadn't tried sinking her fangs into their flesh, he was still wary. Okay, so she wasn't as helpless as he initially thought, and so far she seemed to be just that-- a mysterious ally. Could she really be trusted? How long until this apparent camaraderie end and they would wind up being mindless minions.... or whatever it was with these vampires..
Whatever the case, ally or no ally, he was not letting her bring any harm to his family.

Then she was gone; just like that.

The mutant turned to Casey and listened to what he had in mind. You'd better bet he wouldn't let this one go and walk away as though nothing had happened. "Like I'm gonna let some blood sucker prance around the city..." He spoke in a gruff tone. Maybe they were in way over their heads. It's going to be risky; dangerous. Well it's always that way. And Raphael, for one, was not about to turn tail while New York was facing catastrophe.

He gave it some thought, and came up with his decision in less than two seconds. "You go get the others, I'll cut this mess down to size in the meantime." With that, he was off, darting in the direction he saw the vampire went. Getting the whole family involved might not be the best idea, but Casey was right. They needed the help.
Also, maybe, he didn't want to take any chances...
